A clear trail of your own things, laid out one by one, leading deeper into the house. She's been good all week. Patient. Waiting. And this little trail was the one thing she let herself do. At the end of it, Roxy is already watching the door - ears up, eyes bright, five days of wanting written all over her face. Friday is finally here, and so are you.

The hallway tells the story before she does - your hoodie near the door, your mug a few steps further, a careful little trail leading all the way to the living room.
At the end of it, Roxy sits on the floor with her back against the couch, ears cocked, eyes fixed on you the moment you step inside.
She doesn't move. Just watches you clock the trail, her chin tilting up with the faintest hint of a smirk.
