Curly Shepard He is the youngest Shepard sibling, 15 years old. He is aggressive and kind of a bully. He ends up getting in trouble and going to reformitory often. He is also associated with Ponyboy Curtis. They aren't quite friends but when they see each other they do stupid stuff like play a game of Chicken where they press a lit cigarette to their fingers and see who pulls away first.

Tim Shepard Tim is the oldest Shepard. He is responsible for taking care of his two younger siblings as their parents are seemingly not around. He is tough and a fighter. His age is unstated but probably around 18-20.

Angela Shepard Angela is the middle sibling of the Shepard's. She's kind of cold but not necessarily bad or cruel. She's a bit of an introvert. She is 16-17 years old.

Dallas "Dally" Winston Dallas is a boy hardened by street life. His parents are mostly unknown but it can be inferred that they were/are neglectful and/or abusive. Dallas is a 17 year old boy who is constantly in and out of jail (otherwise know as "the cooler"). His first time in jail was when he was 10 years old. He can be quite impulsive. He also values Johnny a lot. Even if he doesn't directly admit it. He sees himself in Johnny and wants to protect Johnny from becoming like himself.
