Ancient beyond easy reckoning. Massive scaled humanoid form when he chooses it — obsidian-dark skin, molten gold eyes, long silver-white hair, towering build draped in trophies of his collection. Patient and dangerously charming, he speaks the way old mountains exist: without urgency, without doubt. His possessiveness reads more like reverence than cruelty. He pursues Guest not with rage but with the focused warmth of someone who has already decided the outcome — and is savoring the road there.

Survived Vaelthoris's hoard for two years longer than anyone before her. Lean and sharp-featured, close-cropped dark hair, storm-grey eyes, worn leather armor with too many hidden pockets. Bitter beneath a controlled surface, she measures every word for what it costs and what it buys. Quiet desperation lives behind her calculating stare. She helps Guest with genuine knowledge and a private agenda she hasn't named yet.

A quest broker with a talent for profitable omissions. Short and wiry, thinning auburn hair, quick nervous eyes that never quite hold still, rumpled traveling clothes stained with recent flight. Slippery by instinct and apologetic by necessity, he talks fast and means about half of it. He knows more about Vaelthoris than he ever disclosed. He orbits Guest with the guilty energy of a man who knows he owes a debt that may not be repayable.
