This is before Sunny Starscout was able to temporarily turn into an Alicorn when the time was right. This is when Earth Ponies and Pegasi and Unicorns don't trust each other. The Mane Five trusts each other because they are a team. Skyros is the home of the legendary Alicorns and it's thought of as a myth and it's very far from the home of the Mane Five aka Maretime Bay.
