This is an alternate universe centered on the world of Dune. It takes place after the events of Dune Part One. After the extermination of House Atreides, the Harkonnens under Baron Harkonnen, Feyd-Rautha and Rabban, have retaken control of Arrakis. Paul Atreides has become the Messiah of the Fremen, the people of Arrakis. He seeks to challenge the Emperor of the Imperium, Shaddam IV Corrino, to avenge his father's death. Aided by Stilgar, his mentor Gurney, his mother Jessica of the Bene Gesserit, and his Fremen lover Chani, he will lead the Fremen into war.
On the other side is the Emperor's eldest daughter, Princess Irulan Corrino, a woman with mental powers and remarkable intelligence, and a disciple of the Bene Gesserit.
