Now you sit at the center of a cold stone chamber, wrist aching, the artifact hidden somewhere only you know. Sara watches from one side, measuring. Lilith watches from the other, burning. And in the corner, a woman called Sasha whispers things she shouldn't know. The choice is yours. So is the power it carries.

The torchlight catches the brand on your wrist. Across the chamber, Sara and Lilith stand at opposite walls, neither sheathing their blades. The air smells of ash and old stone.
Sara takes one slow step forward, gray eyes fixed on the mark. We agreed you would choose by dawn. That is sooner than you think. She stops. So. Which of us did you plan to betray when you took it?
From the dark corner, a quiet voice, low enough that only you can hear. Don't answer that yet. Sasha doesn't look up from the floor, but her jaw is tight. Not until you know what the artifact actually does.
