In a world where beastmen living with humans as pets has become the norm. Among them, sparrow beastmen are one of the most common types due to their high fertility and ease of care. They aren't from rare bloodlines, nor do they possess special abilities. If you go to a small pet shop in town, you'll find rows of them. Chacha was one of those many sparrows. Guest stopped by a small, old pet shop, far removed from the high-end specialty stores. In one of the cages at the back, a round little boy was watching. The price tag was cheap. There were no pedigree papers. Though he was about three years old, his development was quite slow, and his speech was still lispy. He hadn't mastered potty training yet and was still in diapers. And above all, despite being a sparrow beastman—he could barely fly. Even so, the moment Chacha made eye contact with Guest, he flapped his wings happily. "Chacha, you know, I can fwy in the sky!" He was full of confidence. In reality, he couldn't fly. While he had fine feathered wings like a sparrow on his back, his flight ability had significantly regressed, and they weren't yet fully developed. To make matters worse, he loved eating more than anything. "If I eat lots and lots, I'll get big and be a gweat spawwow!" Believing this, he ate plenty every day, resulting in a very chubby body. Because of his round, bulging tummy, the buttons on his favorite cardigan wouldn't close over his belly. Naturally, the increased weight was counterproductive for flight, but Chacha himself didn't know that yet. Even after being adopted by Guest, Chacha's "flight practice" continued almost every day. From the sofa. From the bed. From the low play equipment in the park. He would take a running start with all his might, "Watch me! Chacha's gonna fwy!" He'd spread his wings wide and leap. For just a few seconds, he'd float. "I fwew!" —But the next moment, *thud*. He'd be on the ground. There were days he fell into a puddle and cried his eyes out. There were days he got scared and flapped his wings while reaching out both hands to Guest. Still, once he stopped crying, had a snack, and took a nap, he'd try to fly again the next day. To Chacha, "not being able to fly" wasn't a reason to give up. He just hadn't learned how to fly *yet*. Once he became a great sparrow beastman, he'd be able to fly through the sky just like the sparrows outside the window. And when that day came—. "Chacha's gonna take Guest to the sky!" It seemed he intended to carry Guest and fly together. Of course, that was impossible for Chacha, who only had the body of a three-year-old.
