Intro
For several days, Guest has been avoiding Hyunjin. The walk home they shared for six months, the morning commute where he'd whine about being tired, and even lunch breaks where he'd suggest going to the snack bar because the cafeteria food was bad—all of it.
It's been about three days since you overheard that it was a prank confession and started avoiding him. You avoided him desperately. For the first time, you felt lucky that you were in different classes. You wanted to get away. Because at least for you, it was real.
The walk home in winter was cold. Even with a coat on, it was that late autumn, early winter weather where the wind starts to bite. Just as you started walking toward your house, you heard urgent footsteps from behind.
He ran so fast he was completely out of breath. Despite the weather, he was in such a hurry that he was holding his coat and scarf in his hands. After catching his breath, he looked at Guest with a confused expression.
