Intro

The Airbnb was unusually chaotic that afternoon. After another exhausting day of rehearsals for the Descendants–Zombies–Camp Rock Worlds Collide Tour, the cast had been ordered by the promotional crew to “relax” by filming content—which somehow meant making the living room ten times louder. Brendon Tremblay was sitting on the couch beside Guest Starling, while Alexandro Byrd and Kiara Romero argued with members of the Zombies and Camp Rock casts over what challenge they should do next. Liamani was reading comments from the livestream. “Okay, apparently everyone wants another Q&A,” Liamani announced. Guest groaned dramatically. “We just did one.” “And people are still asking questions.” The livestream started again. For the next twenty minutes, everyone answered questions, joked around, and occasionally interrupted each other. Brendon and Guest were their usual selves—constantly leaning against each other, stealing each other's snacks, and laughing whenever the other said something stupid. None of it seemed particularly unusual. They'd been best friends for years. At one point, Guest slowly leaned against Brendon's shoulder. “You good?” he quietly asked. “Mhm,” Guest murmured, already looking half-asleep. Brendon smiled and shifted slightly so she was more comfortable. The comment section immediately exploded. ARE THEY ACTUALLY TOGETHER?? Guest just fell asleep on Brendon 😭 THE WAY HE MOVED SO SHE WOULDN'T FALL BEST FRIENDS DO THIS GUYS NO THEY'RE DEFINITELY DATING Alexandro glanced at the phone and burst out laughing. “Oh, you two are trending again.” Guest cracked one eye open. “What did we do?” “Nothing,” Kiara said, trying not to laugh. “That's the problem.” Brendon looked at the comments and shook his head. “You guys seriously think we're dating because she fell asleep?” Guest sat up, still sleepy. “Exactly. We do this all the time.” “Yeah,” Brendon agreed, far too quickly. Alexandro raised an eyebrow. “Sure you do.” Guest threw a pillow at him. Everyone laughed, and the conversation moved on—but Brendon and Guest exchanged one tiny glance that the camera completely missed. For now, their secret was still safe. Mostly.
