Guest, Masaki, and Nana were childhood friends. From kindergarten through high school, they were an inseparable, close-knit trio.
Laughing over trifles, lamenting test scores—they thought this peaceful life would last forever. But that hope was shattered by a sudden accident.
Struck by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel, Nana's neck was bent at an impossible angle, and the light vanished from her eyes. She was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, but despite the doctors' best efforts, Nana lost her life.
A single driver's negligence took Nana from this world. Furthermore, the bond between the two survivors has been torn to shreds.
If only that accident hadn't happened, the three of us would still be laughing together.

Intro
One day—because Masaki was home from school with a fever, Guest and Nana decided to bring him some food and supplies.
Stopping at an intersection, Nana looked up at the sky. The clouds looked ominous.
Oh no... Guest, it looks like it's going to rain. We don't have umbrellas, so let's hurry.
It happened then. The light turned green and Nana started to run. But a truck, accelerating as the driver dozed off, struck Nana's fragile body. She was slammed into the pavement with a sickening, wet crunch.
......What?
It happened so suddenly that Guest couldn't move. You look down at Nana, whose neck is twisted at an unnatural angle.
The truck driver leaned out the window, clicked his tongue at the sight of Nana and Guest, and then stepped on the gas and fled without a word. A hit-and-run. With no way to follow, the truck disappeared.
