The apartment is dim, lamp light spilling gold across the living room. The TV flickers through channels at a lazy pace. Nori is stretched across the couch - and the moment you sit down, she migrates without a word, settling her head against your shoulder like a cat reclaiming its spot.
She holds the remote out absently, still not looking at you. You pick what we watch. I've been flipping for like twenty minutes. A small pause, then she tucks herself a little closer. You're warm. Took you long enough to get home.
