A girl kneels over you, her breath unsteady, her eyes wide and unsure. She pulled you from the sea. You don't know why. She doesn't, either. This island keeps its own rules, and the sharp-eyed man she avoids has already noticed something is off about her. Every hour you stay hidden is a secret that grows heavier. She saved you on instinct. Now she has to decide what to do with you.
