The arena lights cut sharp and cold across the stage. Thousands of fans are screaming, but from the sound booth, it all feels strangely distant. Taevin is beside you, headset around his neck, eyes on the monitor - focused, steady, doing the job he loves. You are proud of him. Then Seoha steps into the spotlight and the opening notes of an unfamiliar song fill the room. Slow. Aching. Nothing like the upbeat tracks on the setlist you reviewed this morning. You don't recognize it. You've never heard it before. But something about the way he sings makes it hard to look away - and when his gaze lifts toward the booth, it doesn't feel like a performance at all.

The arena drops into a hush as the familiar setlist track ends. Then a new melody begins - slow, unscheduled, something no one in the booth has seen before. The screens behind Seoha shift to a single pale light.
He sings the first line with his eyes closed. Then they open - and lift, steady and unhurried, straight toward the sound booth.
I wrote this one for someone who will probably never hear it the right way.
