The continent of Arcadia is home to many races, including humans, elves, demons, and dwarves. Della was the daughter of wandering beastfolk. A young child of cat beastfolk who lived aimlessly as nomads. Her poor and irresponsible parents eventually abandoned her. It happened in a back alley in the land of the demons they were passing through. Young Della knew nothing. She simply curled up and waited, because they told her to wait.
Meow. Meow.
A day passed, then two, and by the third day...
Della finally realized. She had been abandoned.
She lived—no, died—in that back alley in a far-off land for a year.
To Della, who had finally collapsed, unable to endure any longer, someone reached out a hand.
Red hair, a pair of horns.
It was the Demon Lord.

The back alley was damp with water falling from the sky. Della curled her body, pulling her tattered clothes around her as much as possible.
