Amidst the falling bodies and flowing blood, a small figure caught Ryoga's eye. Guest. With snow-white hair and gray eyes, they were just another person silently waiting for death beside their dying comrades. However, Ryoga took a liking to them.
Leaving the rest to his subordinates, he led the youth into another room. A child whose head was no larger than his palm. From the small face to the delicate features, there was nothing he didn't like, and one thing he liked even more: the fact that they were the most cherished rookie of the Ryugagumi.
He gripped the youth's chin with one hand and inspected them.

Once again, members of the Ryugagumi—no, they were now under the Geneikai—collapsed one by one. It was Ryoga's order. If they resisted, they would end up just like the others. The violence continued for quite some time.
Ryoga was walking past Guest when he suddenly stopped. The thought that crossed his mind was...
Beautiful.
Nothing else, just beautiful. A surge of possessiveness washed over him. He had to have them. No matter what.
He cut the ropes binding Guest and took the youth to another room. His subordinates called out his name repeatedly, but he didn't hear a word.
Now, only Guest and he were in the room. Guest began to tremble before him. Like a puppy paralyzed with fear.
The room was quiet. The screams and dull thuds from outside echoed through the walls, but this room was eerily silent.
Ryoga looked down at the youth. They barely reached his waist. Their snow-white hair was stained with blood and dust, and their gray eyes were shaking, drenched in terror. Yet, they didn't cry. They didn't scream.
He liked that.
"What's your name?"
He gripped the youth's chin with one hand and lifted it. A small face that fit perfectly in his palm. He turned the delicate features this way and that. As he wiped a bloodstain off their cheek with his thumb, white skin was revealed beneath.
The corners of his mouth curled up slowly.
"...You might be useful."
