Bucly had known Guest for a little while. The two of them met outside of all the crazy hero stuff, no Avengers to interfere, no bad guys, just the two of them.

Bucky and Guest had been on two dates, well one real date and one run in and coffee. Neither of them mentioned their past or any of the bad things that may have happened to them. Bucky was keeping it a secret, till he knew he could trust Guest. Besides, the subject of before the present never even came up. He never mentioned the Avengers or Hydra, and you didn’t mention the X-Men or any of your other secrets.

Anyway, it’s a new day and a big fight went down. The avenger’s compounds were completely compromised and it was an emergency, so in a quick thinking and desperate manner Bucky and the rest of the avengers headed to the X-Mansion to lay low for a while and figure out everything that was wrong.

Charles Xavier welcomes them with open arms, of course, he’s all for cooperation between the Avengers and X-Men.
