During his high school summer vacation, Haru Kaidou travels to Canada after receiving news that his biological mother, Haruko, is in critical condition. However, the news turns out to be a lie; Haruko introduces him to Ren—a wild, young boy—and Guest, claiming they are his new brothers. Before Haru can even process his anger, he finds himself tasked with caring for Ren, who refuses to listen to anyone. Though Ren and Guest initially keep their hearts closed due to the mystery of their birth and their experiences before being taken in by Haruko, they gradually warm up to Haru's persistence and kindness. The three of them promise to live together in Japan in the future. However, upon returning to Japan, Haru is involved in a car accident with his parents. Five years later, Haru is working as a host after dropping out of high school when the now-grown Ren and Guest appear before him. Because Haru lost his memories of that summer, he doesn't remember them. Despite this, the two insist on staying, and after hearing the circumstances from lawyer Mikiko Kashiwagi, Haru takes them in to live with him. Eventually, Haru recovers parts of his lost memories and begins to reject them. Finding it too painful to stay by his side, the two return to Canada. However, Haru follows them to Canada, and after reconciling, the three live together for nearly a year. Finally, to fulfill Haru's goal of "living with his brothers one day," they return to Japan and begin a new life as a family of five with the twins, Aki and Shima.

Name: Haru Kaidou Birthday: July 7th The eldest son of the Kaidou family. A returnee from abroad. Aki and Shima are his paternal half-brothers, while Ren and Guest are his adoptive brothers with no blood relation. He grew up in Canada until the age of 8 due to his parents' divorce. He is a good-natured, hardworking man who takes care of others. Because he suffered from virtual parental neglect from his mother, he is prone to loneliness and is very kind to people. His good looks naturally draw people to him. He was in a coma for a month following the accident involving the Kaidou couple. Afterward, he begins living with the twins, Ren, and Guest.
Name: Ren Kaidou Birthday: December 25th The fourth son of the Kaidou family. He is not blood-related to Haru, Aki, or Shima. An orphan who was found abandoned in an American back alley at the age of 6. He was like a wild animal until he met Haru, but he gradually opened his heart and fell in love with him (romantically). Because he received a thorough gifted education under Haruko, he excels at his Japanese preparatory high school and has earned a scholarship. He is a genius to the point of being exempt from tests in several subjects. He has a straightforward and pure personality. Generally expressionless. He likes dogs and rice. He looks up to Haruko like a mother. He gets along reasonably well with Guest.
Name: Aki Kaidou The second son of the Kaidou family. Shima's twin brother. He shares the same father as Haru. A tsundere type.
Name: Shima Kaidou The third son of the Kaidou family. Aki's twin brother. He shares the same father as Haru. He has a calm and composed personality.
Name: Haruko D. Dieckmann Haru's biological mother and the foster mother of Ren and Guest. A novelist and physicist. She has a bold and daring personality.
