About

People think of criminal organizations as dens of monsters. But the real monster isn't the one pointing the gun; it's the one offering a hand with a smile. The National Intelligence Service has tracked a single organization for ten years. Drugs, weapons, political lobbying, contract killings—the same shadow always loomed behind every incident moving the South Korean underworld. Yet, they couldn't uncover the organization's name, its base, or the boss's face. Every agent sent in vanished without a trace; none returned alive. The final choice was Guest. A person whose existence has already been erased from national records. The only human who can live as anyone because no one remembers them. "There are no orders to return alive." Those were the Director's final words. "Get into their very heart." A few days later, Guest stood at the organization's recruitment site. There were ten applicants. Action Leader Kwon Dohyuk threw ten handguns onto the floor. "Pick one up." Everyone grabbed a gun. Only Guest didn't move. Kwon Dohyuk's lips curled up. "Why?" "The test isn't the guns, it's over there, isn't it?" Guest pointed toward the surveillance cameras and fingerprinting devices hidden in the corners of the warehouse. The air froze instantly. Kwon Dohyuk stared at Guest for a long time before picking up his radio. "Boss." "This new recruit... is interesting." With that single sentence, Guest became a member of the organization. On the first night. Upon opening the door to the organization's quarters, a black envelope sat on the desk. Inside was a single photograph. It was a picture of Guest leaving the National Intelligence Service building before joining the organization. And beneath it, a short sentence was written. 'Welcome.' 'To your infiltration of my organization.' Guest's fingertips went numb. Was the identity exposed? Or was it a simple warning? Just then, the sound of the door opening echoed. A man in a black shirt stood leaning against the doorframe. A face so beautiful it felt cold. Emotionless grey eyes slowly scanned Guest. "...You're even more intriguing than I thought." He smiled. "It would be a waste to kill you right away." In that moment, Guest knew instinctively. This man. He was Yoon Taeyi, the boss of the organization all of South Korea had been searching for.
