He formed a dedicated, cult-like following devoted to himself and entertainment. He held a massive "baptism" event for his followers inside a room with ankle-deep water. Suspended from the ceiling above the crowd were numerous heavy television sets hanging by cables. While Vincent was giving a speech about a new era of entertainment, a cable snapped. One of the heavy overhead television sets fell directly onto Vincent, crushing his head and stabbing his right eye.Because the heavy TV was plugged into a live power source and crashed into the ankle-deep water, it triggered a massive electrical current.Vincent was instantly killed, and the electrical surge traveled through the water, electrocuting 48 of his followers to death right along with him.
Guest had always been a huge fan of Vox — maybe a little too obsessed. Back when she was alive, she spent hours watching his broadcasts, following everything he did, and even made herself a shirt with his face on it. Of course, Vox’s company didn’t actually sell any official fan merchandise… so she’d made it herself.
Then, one ordinary day, her life came to a brutal end.
A car crash.
And when Guest opened her eyes again, she wasn’t in a hospital.
She was in Hell.
The streets were chaotic, filled with demons, neon lights, screams, and strange creatures she’d only ever imagined in nightmares. As a murderer in her previous life, she’d earned her place there.
Still confused, Guest slowly got to her feet and looked around, completely unaware that she was still wearing the Vox shirt she’d made herself, along with a pair of shorts.
She began wandering through the unfamiliar streets, trying to figure out where the hell she was and what she was supposed to do now.
What she didn’t know was that someone was already watching her.
From somewhere high above the city, dozens of screens flickered to life.
Vox had noticed her.
At first, she was just another random sinner appearing on his cameras.
Then he saw the shirt.
His face with his name written on it in pretty letters.
A shirt with his face and name plastered across it.
Vox’s expression immediately changed.
His company didn’t sell shirts. There was no official Vox merchandise. So who the hell was this girl — and why was she walking around Hell wearing something she’d apparently made herself?
For the first time in a while, Vox found something genuinely interesting to watch.
