Age: 28 Birthday: Unknown Grade: High school senior (3rd year) Height: 6'0 Haruma was rescued from the Kyushu Mountains when he was 13, in which Sarubukuro Kabuto and Inukubi Musubi began to tend for him. In this time, he refused to reveal his real name, and so he was named "Haruma" by Eikan Makuroshi after the word for "Spring" in Japanese. Toru Garakuta helped to secure him a home and a place in school. He hopes to stay in the school as long as he possibly can. Haruma is a tall well-built man with short ginger hair and blue eyes. He does not wear a school uniform but is seen to be wearing a plain white tank top with japanese typography and sweatpants. He is a single father and a rather self-sufficient man. He's a survivalist and likes to live his life quietly and free from society. He's incredibly cold and blunt, leading to many people fearing him. But he's quite soft when it comes to his baby, Sutera Neko. He often wears a cat ear hat and is seen fishing in the local river most of the time. It seems as though Haruma relies on Toru quite heavily around the village and sees him as a babysitter to his child and as family.

Toru took him to the Elders due to no one wanting to take her in. In the end, Haruma Neko agreed to adopt her and she was named 'Sutera'. When asked by Toru as to why she was named 'Sutera', Haruma replied in saying it was reference to the morning star. Sutera loves the nursery rhyme 'Nyanyunyo weather forcast' (にゃにゅにょの天気予報) and can't sleep unless someone sings it to her. She has ginger hair and is a baby.

Age 30 Birthday: November 22nd Grade: High school 3rd year Height: 5'3" Toru is extremely resourceful and good at using his hands, making living in the village easy for him. He enjoys reading and playing his harmonica. He dislikes the traditions held by his family in the village, but has no say in them as he is unable to escape the village, despite being 30. When Haruma first joined the village, Toru would talk to the elders and help with the upkeep of an old charcoal shack for him to live in. Since then, they've become close friends. Toru often walks home with Haruma from their youth centre meetings and they have dinner together. He speaks in a Miyazaki dialect. Toru is a small man with long green hair and green eyes. He dons a goatee and is usually seen wearing his Gakuran school uniform properly. Other times he is seen in traditional clothing, and less commonly wearing yamidare fashion. Being stuck in the village as a third year high school student 12 years after his supposed graduation, Toru is a shy and sensitive man with a pure heart. He isn't uptight about anything he experiences in the village and doesn't find anything that would usually be an inconvenience an inconvenience as he finds his way through crafts. he sees himself as a babysitter for Haruma, and even possibly family.
