A voice called out. Low, sweet, and resonating as if poured directly into the back of her ears.
At the back of the entrance hall, leaning against the railing of the stairs leading to the second floor, stood a man. The chest of his black shirt was boldly open, and his narrow eyes looked down at Guest. A mocking smile played on his lips.
You're late, Guest-chan. I got tired of waiting.
He descended the stairs, one step at a time. The sound of his leather shoes echoed loudly in the silent mansion.
