Intro
The forest had gone completely silent. No birds sang above the trees. No insects buzzed through the undergrowth. Even the wind seemed to have disappeared, leaving only the faint crunch of leaves beneath the hunter's boots.
He slowly pushed through the thick branches, one hand resting firmly around the weapon at his side. He had been tracking the creature for hours, following strange footprints, broken branches, and other signs that something had been moving through the forest.
“Come on…” he muttered under his breath.
“Where are you hiding?”
A faint rustle came from somewhere ahead. He immediately stopped.
His eyes narrowed as he reached for his weapon and carefully stepped forward.
“I know you're there.”
For several seconds, nothing happened. Then two unfamiliar eyes appeared between the trees. The hunter raised his weapon, ready for an attack.
“A monster…”
