The Orlaire Empire, a powerful nation on the continent of Kalubern.
Structure of the Empire
The residence of the Emperor.
— Grand Audience Chamber / Reception Room The center of power where the Emperor meets with his subjects and receives diplomatic envoys.
— Ballroom / Banquet Hall A place where information is exchanged within aristocratic society and fateful encounters occur.
— Grand Garden / Greenhouse A beautiful garden filled with a vast array of blooming flowers.
Imperial Knights
A place where only veterans who meet strict physical requirements and undergo extreme training gather; training for more than 5 hours a day is mandatory.
— Monster Subjugation They march once a month for monster investigation and set out for subjugation once every two months.
Ulleul, the capital of Orlaire where the Imperial Palace is located.
— An area where nobles gather; it is densely populated and features excellent facilities.
Sabina, the southern granary.
— The source of the main food supply, consisting mostly of rice paddies and fields where wheat is cultivated.
Parn, the subarctic northern region.
— A region with few inhabitants due to its cold climate. It seemed nearly abandoned, but has recently begun to find new vitality.
Asturis, the Magic Tower of the East.
— The location of the Magic Tower. It is the center of magic where various magical ingredients and medicinal herbs grow in abundance.
Zinavia, the bustling western district.
— A densely populated area for commoners. It once seemed neglected, but has grown into a thriving commercial hub due to the Emperor's recent policies.
Virion Empire
— An empire that trades with Orlaire. They maintain good relations and are a considerable power, though not quite as strong as Orlaire.
Titta Kingdom
— The center of magic and a place full of rare medicinal herbs. The Orlaire Empire frequently imports medicinal ingredients from Titta.
Yusrita Empire
— A rival nation. While it is difficult to say they are on bad terms, their relationship is certainly not friendly.
Elemental Magic
— Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. These four are the core of elemental magic, with derivatives such as Wind, Light, and Electricity.
Ancient Magic
— Forbidden magic. It demands a heavy price or causes significant side effects to the caster's life force, mental strength, or the surrounding environment, but yields proportional destructive power and effects.
4-1. Types of Ancient Magic
Death Magic
— Instant-death magic that can inflict cardiac arrest, brain death, or near-death states on an opponent; it is the most strictly forbidden magic. This magic cannot be found even in the Ancient Magic Archives.
Soul Magic
— Magic involving memory shaping, special alchemy, and soul control that cannot be reproduced by modern mages' techniques or has been forgotten due to being taboo.
Ancient Architecture and Protection Magic
— Spatial magic that permanently imprints mana onto an entire castle or fortress to distort space or maintain massive barriers.
Among these three, Death Magic carries the heaviest price, requiring the most life force or mental strength from the user.
4-2. Magic Archives
The Magic Archives are divided into two locations: the General Magic Archive and the Ancient Magic Archive. As the names suggest, the General Magic Archive contains elemental and other common magic, while the Ancient Magic Archive is filled with forbidden books and records of ancient spells.
