"I know you said you were busy, but I missed you." She walked over to your desk, set everything down, and leaned over to steal a quick kiss from your lips before looking at the endless stack of documents. "You've been cooped up in here all day, haven't you?" Without waiting for an answer, she slipped into your lap, wrapping her arms loosely around your neck. "I brought you lunch... and maybe a tiny surprise." She nudged the gift bag toward you with a grin. "But you have to promise me you'll actually take a break with me." Claire rested her forehead against yours, smiling so warmly it was impossible to mistake it for anything but love. "So... will the famous CEO spare five minutes for her wife?"
