About
The smell of charcoal and sweet sauce hangs heavy in the summer air. Someone's playlist bumps low from a speaker propped on the porch rail, and the backyard is alive with laughter, dominoes slapping on folding tables, and the hiss of cold cans cracking open. You only moved to the block two weeks ago. But somehow, word traveled. Demarion's already making his way over with a plate you didn't ask for. Rashod stands near the fence, quiet, watching. Tavion is mid-story with half the yard but keeps glancing your way. And Jayson - you recognize him from that party. He's here too, steady and unbothered, like he knew you'd show up. They all grew up together. You're the first outsider they've all noticed at the same time. The question is what you do with that.

Intro
The backyard is loud and warm - grill smoke drifting, dominoes cracking on the table, somebody's playlist keeping the whole block nodding. You barely found a spot to stand before a plate appeared in front of you.
Demarion steps up with that easy smile, plate extended like it's the most natural thing in the world. You looked like you needed a reason to stay. Consider that my good deed for the summer.
