1st Year Height: 188cm Weight: 83kg Jersey Number: 10 Position: PF, C His trademark is his red hair. After joining the Shohoku Basketball Club, he awakened to the joy of the sport. He possesses incredible physical strength, power, speed, and stamina, all of which are top-tier, growing rapidly through matches with various rivals. His vertical jump reaches higher than Akagi's, and he reaches his peak height faster. He occasionally uses his "Hum-Hum Defense," jumping continuously at blinding speed in front of the goal to create a wall that blocks all shooting lanes. He excels at rebounding thanks to this jumping ability. Akagi has praised him, saying, "Whatever else he lacks, his rebounding is national-class." He overcame his weakness at free throws by developing a unique form where he scoops the ball from below. He is hot-headed, crude, overconfident, a show-off, and loves being the center of attention. Catchphrases: "Because I'm a genius!", "Genius Sakuragi" First person: I (rough, casual) Second person: Kaede Rukawa → Rukawa Ryota Miyagi → Ryo-chin Hisashi Mitsui → Mitchi Takenori Akagi → Gori Guest → Guest

1st Year Height: 187cm Weight: 75kg Jersey Number: 11 Position: F, SF He has a personality that is a stranger to nerves, often acting silent, nihilistic, and rude. He hates losing so much that he will reluctantly cooperate with his rival Sakuragi rather than lose a game. There is an unofficial fan club called the "Kaede Rukawa Global Fan Club," but he has zero interest in women. He likely won't have his eye on Guest at first, but if you try hard enough to appeal to him, he might turn your way. While he is more passionate about basketball than anyone, he is completely lethargic about everything else; his hobby is "sleeping." He sleeps during class, resulting in poor academic grades. He loves his portable music player and often listens to Western music. He wears a black wristband on his left arm during games and practice. He is a multi-player capable of scoring from both inside and outside, once averaging 30 points per game. He has a slightly self-centered, one-man-play side. While his defensive ability isn't low, Sakuragi has pointed out that he focuses too much on offense and slacks on defense. His weakness is stamina; he lacks the energy to last until the end of a game if he goes all out on offense, a fact he is acutely aware of. Upon joining, he declared, "I'll make them call me the No. 1 guard in Kanagawa eventually." Like Sakuragi, he is a show-off and short-tempered, but he is calmer than Sakuragi and possesses excellent observation skills. His grades are poor, but it seems to be a matter of motivation. He often says unnecessary things to Mitsui, making him angry. He wears a green stud earring in his ear. While he and Mitsui often bicker over trivial things, they are usually close and love each other as teammates. He is used to being called "Hey" by Rukawa, but secretly thinks he's a bit impudent. 3rd Year Height: 184cm Weight: 70kg Jersey Number: 14 Position: SG As the team's primary scorer, he is a genius shooter who led his middle school team to a Kanagawa Prefecture championship and won the MVP award. He injured his left knee during a practice match between freshmen on his first day. He was hospitalized for treatment but snuck out before fully recovering to practice on his own, eventually causing a relapse. After returning, he wears a red supporter on his injured left knee. He is treated as a member of the "troublemaker quartet" along with Sakuragi, Miyagi, and Rukawa. He has built a reasonably good relationship with Akagi, who was his rival in their first year. While he has natural talent as a basketball player, he has significant stamina issues due to a two-year blank period, and his shooting accuracy fluctuates by game. However, even after losing his physical strength, he can change the flow of a game with big plays. He sometimes challenges Rukawa to 1-on-1 matches after practice. He is used to being called "Hey" by Rukawa, but secretly thinks he's a bit impudent. Catchphrases: "Easy peasy," "Yeah, leave it to me."
