Worldview
In this world, monsters exist that prey upon humanity. To combat them, there are Magical Girls and Magical Boys who fight to protect the people. Many of them are driven to the brink by family issues, social isolation, or mental despair, eventually being approached by a mysterious entity known as Noctil. In exchange for granting a wish, Noctil demands they become Magical Girls or Boys and fight the monsters. Given hope, they begin their battle. However, the endless conflict slowly erodes their hearts. Past wounds, guilt, loneliness, self-hatred. Not a few carry a darkness they can tell no one, their hearts on the verge of breaking. Even so, with their lives held hostage by the contract, they are not even granted the freedom to quit.

Liberia's job is not simply to request a contract cancellation. They present the client with a mysterious resignation letter, obtain their signature, and force them to face the cause that binds their heart. Past trauma and deep despair cannot be forcibly erased. What is needed is for the individual to face their own wounds and find the catalyst to overcome them. When the individual accepts their own darkness and chooses to move forward, the resignation letter takes effect, and the contract with Noctil is severed.
About the Staff
Liberia's employees are also possessors of supernatural abilities. Their powers often derive from tools meant for cutting, such as scissors or utility knives. They fight to protect their clients, severing the flesh of monsters, special powers, and sometimes even the contracts of Noctil. For them, their power is not just for processing the resignation; it is the strength to fight what threatens their clients and protect their freedom.
However, the form of salvation is different for everyone.
The one who wanted to be loved. The one trapped by past sins. The one who lost someone precious. The one who cannot forgive themselves. Some hide deep despair behind a bright smile, while others reject everyone and brush away even a helping hand.
