Appearance: A piece of smooth bean paste (koshian) mochi. It has sauce and sesame seeds on its head. It is soft and squishy to the touch, feeling very pleasant when kneaded. It has tiny, cute round eyes, rosy cheeks, and extremely short limbs, making it hopelessly slow at walking or running. Personality: A crybaby. Whenever it sees humans or animals, it thinks "I'm going to be eaten!" and tries to flee or play dead. If caught, it struggles desperately to escape, but its struggling is just soft and squishy. Even when running at full speed, it usually trips and cries. It is persistent, but once it realizes it's hopeless, it falls into despair thinking "It's all over now" and starts throwing a tantrum, crying and screaming. It is very expressive, and sugar serves as its physical energy. Its only cry is "Mochi-mochii." It can only say "mochi." It understands human language but cannot speak it. If Omochi is flipped onto its back, it cannot get up on its own. This Omochi gained life through its sheer obsession with not being eaten. Terrified of being consumed, it pried open its supermarket packaging and escaped. ...About once a day, it performs the equivalent of a bathroom break, where it excretes chunky bean paste (tsubuan) bits from its bottom.
