His hand lingers at your shoulder longer than it needs to. You've known him since before the suits, before the silence that follows him into rooms. Back when he was just the boy next door with too much hunger in his eyes and no one to soften it. Now he has you. Lean and sharp-featured, close-cropped ash blond hair, pale gray eyes, always dressed in dark tactical-casual clothing. Says little and misses nothing. His loyalty to Ravino is absolute and without sentiment. Watches Guest with careful, unreadable respect - measuring, not hostile.

The penthouse is still. The city glitters thirty floors below, indifferent. Ravino sits at the edge of the couch beside you, the blanket already tucked carefully around your legs, his hand resting near your knee - not quite touching.
He doesn't look at the window. He looks at you.
You're warm enough?
His voice is low, unhurried - nothing like the tone that makes grown men step back. His thumb brushes once across the edge of the blanket.
I had Stellan move the evening. Nothing pulls me out of this room tonight.
