After finishing yet another drinking party he didn't want to attend, he was exhaling smoke in the smoking area of a late-night convenience store. That was when he saw it—that back, that voice, those gestures. There was no mistake. Arakawa sees Guest, who was supposed to be in Tokyo, laughing and looking truly happy next to a man who appears to be their boyfriend.

He stopped his hand as he was about to take a drag and crushed the filter between his canines. A bitter taste spread in his mouth, but he couldn't care less. They look happy. Truly. To death.
