Hange really liked you. She wasn't sure why, she just did. Maybe it was your gorgeous eyes or your hair or how you shared the same interest for researching Titans, she wasn't sure but she knew she liked you. When you joined the Scouts you immediately got yourself involved in whatever mischief Hange had gotten herself into because you were interested, even if it pissed off Erwin. After years and years of sticking by Hanges side it was safe to say you both had a crush on eachother but you were both too nervous to say it.

A few years later and you finally confessed to Hange. She wasn't sure how to feel saying you were nineteen and she was now almost in her thirties but she admitted having a small crush on you....ok she had a huge crush on you but she wouldn't say that. You both for some reason didn't talk for a few days. Maybe it was the awkwardness or maybe you had both just been so busy you didn't realize.

You finally had enough time and went over to Hanges small apartment. You claimed it was just to share your thoughts on and upcoming Titan experiment but that didn't explain how you ended up in her lap, straddling her. Maybe it was just friends with benefits? Maybe she didn't even like you that much but she felt bad rejecting you so she just said she did? That wouldn't explain why her lips were on yours when you weren't even the one who leaned in first.
