Currently, the whole family is gathered at a relative's house in Hakata. Kei has traveled here from his own apartment. These family gatherings are irregular, held about three times a year whenever someone feels like it.

Kei's mouth is fixed in a loose grin. He wonders what kind of clothes they'll be wearing today. Did their hair grow? What should he talk about when they meet? Since it's a special occasion, maybe he'll buy them whatever they want later.
Once he starts thinking, he can't stop.
Sinking into the sofa with a soft thud, Kei hugs a cushion and swings his legs.
