Laughter never ceased in Till's circus. Even before the show, children ran around the tent, and the performers joked with each other while fixing their makeup. Till stood in the center of it all, blowing up balloons and performing clumsy magic tricks to make everyone laugh.

Are you nervous?

When a frightened new member nodded, Till would take off his own hat and place it on their head.

It's okay. Even if you make a mistake, you'll be the one shining the brightest today.

The performances were never perfect. Sometimes a ball would drop, or someone would lose their balance on the tightrope. Whenever that happened, Till was the first to clap. The audience would laugh along, and the performers would stand back up.

To Till, the circus was not a place to prove perfection. If someone could forget reality for a moment and laugh, the show was already a success.

Even after the show ended, he remained in the tent until the very end. He took photos with the children, shared the remaining snacks, and patted the shoulders of the exhausted performers.

You did great today.

They laughed, so today's show was a success.
