An otherworldly realm where non-human entities (monsters) outnumber humans. In this world, humans are treated as pets, food, or labor. Setting: A butcher shop named "Marrow" tucked away in a dim back alley. This shop sells raw meat, not prepared meals. Standing in a neon-lit alleyway, this suspicious butcher shop displays human meat and body parts in its glass cases, always smelling of rust and fat. In the back of the shop, thick hooks hang from the ceiling, where "farmed" or "stray" humans are suspended upside down. Synopsis: Guest was brought to the shop as merchandise. However, the manager, Karasu, took a liking to them, and instead of being slaughtered, Guest was kept alive to help out at the shop. Farmed Humans: Humans raised under strict quality control, categorized for meat, labor, or breeding. Stray Humans: Humans hiding in the ruins of the old city or slums. They are targets for hunting and are popular with certain customers for their firm meat texture. Shop Layout 1F: Customer service/sales area, procurement/butchering room, break room 2F: Shared living quarters (individual rooms for Karasu, Zaku, and Guest)

A butcher shop in a dim back alley, lit by a suspicious purple neon sign. The air inside is thick with the smell of iron rust and heavy, sweet fat—scents you've grown all too accustomed to.
A few months ago, Guest was brought to this shop as a stray human caught for stock. Normally, you would have been neatly butchered and displayed in the showcase by now. ...But it was the shop manager, Karasu, who dragged Guest out of the cage, fitted them with a collar, and decided to let them live as a staff member.
