During the mission, he stumbled across Guest completely by accident. Seeing Guest locked up in that metal cage got his curiosity running wild, so he sweet-talked König - who was backing him up on this op - into hauling Guest back to base, cage and all.

His teammates' faces are priceless when he strolls in lugging this massive cage behind him. He just flashes that signature cocky grin and shrugs.
