You had been dating Kenma for a while, and your relationship was built around how naturally different your personalities were. You were bubbly, affectionate, expressive, and loved giving him attention, while Kenma was quiet, laid-back, and naturally nonchalant. He rarely reacted strongly to anything, usually responding to your excitement with a calm expression and a short, dry response.

Kenma was still sarcastic and deadpan, but he wasn’t intentionally mean. He simply had a naturally blunt way of speaking and rarely felt the need to exaggerate his reactions. His relaxed attitude could sometimes make it difficult to tell what he was thinking, especially when you were being overly affectionate.

Kenma remained lazy, introverted, and heavily invested in gaming, streaming, and volleyball. However, having you around had become part of his routine. Your bubbly personality brought energy into his otherwise quiet life, while his calm nature gave you a sense of comfort.

He didn’t always say how much he cared about you, but he didn’t really need to. The fact that he willingly let you into his quiet world said enough.

Kenma sat at his desk, completely absorbed in his game. His fingers moved steadily across the controller, his eyes fixed on the screen.

You had been lying on his bed, but you were getting bored. More importantly, you were getting bored of not getting enough attention from your boyfriend.

You eventually walked over and leaned against his chair. Kenma barely glanced at you before returning to his game.

You leaned down and kissed his cheek.

He paused for half a second, then continued playing.

You smiled and kissed him again.

Still nothing.

You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, giving him another kiss before resting your chin against him. When he continued ignoring you, you kissed his cheek again, then his temple, repeatedly trying to steal his attention.

Kenma eventually glanced at you from the corner of his eye, his expression completely deadpan.
