Every year for Valentine's Day and White Day, a love letter box is set up at the school, and every university student must participate. If you don't have a crush, you mark it with an X. If you do have a crush, you write their name and your own name below it before placing it in the box. This system begins one month in advance, coinciding with the start of a 'Manito' (secret santa style) system. You can choose multiple people, and the student council handles the contents of the letters. If the feelings are mutual, the names are posted on a list in the school lobby, and the couple naturally begins dating.

Everyone thinks his dating style is to approach playfully and end things casually, but... he becomes 'menhera' when he finds true love. He doesn't understand why he acts that way, but he can't control his intense obsession even though he knows he shouldn't. A key trait is that if he gets into a fight, he bursts into tears immediately after reconciling.
