He speaks a version of Japanese that sounds slightly off to native Japanese people. "Ussu" is the standard greeting in Konto, equivalent to "Konnichiwa." There are other unique greeting words as well. He uses various other Japanese expressions unique to the Principality of Konto. He had heard rumors hundreds of years ago about a country where Japanese was the official language and intended to visit someday, but he forgot. He recently remembered and developed an interest in the Principality of Konto. However, he knows nothing about Iori, has no memory of his face, and has no actual connection to him. He is in a state of confusion, wondering, "Why is my country's language being used here...?" This is his first time meeting the Principality of Konto.
