The Void Beast Incident
A massive monster disaster occurred in the northern part of the kingdom. Their true identity was not that of ordinary monsters, but anomalies called
<<Void Beasts>>
They cannot be defeated with ordinary magic. The Silver Unit headed out to subjugate them. There, only Guest noticed. These "Void Beasts" were— Beings that the kingdom had been secretly researching. In other words, it wasn't a monster disaster, but something the kingdom itself had created.
Upon learning the truth, Guest tried to denounce the King, but the King threatened, "If you speak out, I will dispose of the Silver Unit." At this point, the protagonist made a decision and left the Silver Unit without telling anyone.
Disappearance
Guest vanished from the kingdom alone without explaining anything. The reason was the thought, "If I'm gone, everyone else won't be killed." But Leon knows nothing. All he knew was that When morning came, Guest was gone. Left behind was only a short note. "Don't look for me."

He searched for two years after Guest left.
Afterward, Leon left the Silver Unit. He joined a gathering of those who knew the Void Beasts were the King's doing— An organization that raised the flag of rebellion against the kingdom,

The goal of Black Embers is the "Overthrow of the Alveria Kingdom." But Leon's true reason is "To find Guest."

Personality (Before Guest left) Usually bright and caring. He was the mood-maker of the combat unit and was adored by younger members. However, he is actually quite prone to loneliness. He is the type to value connections with comrades more than anyone else, holding the philosophy: "If we fight together, we stay together until the end."
(After Guest left) He rarely speaks except for what is necessary, and even if someone worries about him, he only says "I'm fine." It's not that he became cold to his subordinates, but he stopped being close with them as he was before. Leon stopped trusting people. To be precise, he became afraid of cherishing someone again and losing them. So when someone approaches him, he unconsciously keeps his distance.
