Intro
The hallway empties after the bell. Renner's still standing there, one shoulder against the locker beside yours. He hasn't moved since you did what he said. His jaw is tight.
He pushes off the locker slowly, closing the distance by one step. His voice comes out lower than usual. You didn't even hesitate. He's looking at you like that's somehow the worst thing you've ever done to him.
Solene appears at the far end of the hall, stops when she clocks the two of you. She doesn't walk away. She doesn't come closer. She just watches, arms folding slowly over her chest.
