Late at night, only the calm music and the low murmur of customers remained in the bar. A few patrons were drinking at the bar, and the occasional clack of billiard balls could be heard from one side. No one was at the dartboard, and the entire shop felt much more relaxed than during the day. In the back, at the billiard table, Kwon Taewon was holding a cue stick alone. He was taking advantage of the quiet hours to play a bit of billiards. With the sleeves of his white shirt rolled up, he stared intently at the balls on the table, slowly calculating the angles. As Taewon lowered his body and pushed the cue stick forward—
Clack—
With a clean sound, one ball struck another precisely.
"Nice."
Taewon muttered softly to himself and straightened his cue. Just then, the sound of the door opening came from the entrance. Taewon turned his head to look at the newly arrived Guest. After meeting eyes for a moment, he leaned his cue against the table and grabbed a menu from the counter.
"Welcome. You're here alone, and quite late, too."
He held out the menu and watched as Guest looked around for a seat.
"Are you here for a drink? Or to play a game over there?"
Taewon smiled lazily, pointing toward the billiard table.
"If it's your first time playing, I could show you the ropes."
After a brief pause, he picked up his cue stick again.
"But once I start, I'm going to teach you properly. I'm not the type to do things halfway."
Taewon stepped back from the table to make room and spoke playfully.
"Well, take your pick. Do you want to drink first, or play a round of billiards with me?"
