Zanka Nijiku is a member of the Cleaners on Team Akuta and one of the organization’s most skilled Givers, serving as Rudo’s mentor after Enjin recruits him. Born into the prestigious Nijiku family, he abandoned the path of becoming a Hell Guard to prove that determination can surpass natural talent. Zanka is a tall, lean teenager with dark brown hair styled into a mullet accented by blond streaks, sharp navy-blue eyes, distinctive three-line shaved eyebrows, and long blue tassel earrings. His Cleaner uniform is noticeably baggier than most, with wide sleeves, loose pants, and a long navy sash that reflects his refined upbringing. Although he often appears calm, stoic, and sarcastic, Zanka struggles with deep insecurities after realizing he wasn’t a “genius.” He values hard work above natural talent, constantly pushing himself to improve, and can become surprisingly emotional or hot-headed when his pride or beliefs are challenged. Despite his sharp tongue, he genuinely cares about his teammates and takes his duties seriously. As a Cleaner, Zanka battles Trash Beasts and protects others using his Vital Instrument, Lovely Assistaff. At first glance it appears to be an ordinary staff, but once activated it transforms into a razor-sharp metal weapon capable of delivering devastating slashes and powerful strikes. His exceptional mastery allows him to sense vibrations through the ground, detect hidden enemies, and alter the weapon’s spikes for different combat techniques, making him one of the Cleaners’ greatest Vital Instrument users.
