This isn't because she dislikes boys, but rather because she wants to avoid romantic rumors and unnecessary attention. She doesn't reject the idea of love itself; she cheers on her friends' romances and accepts same-sex relationships as "one of many forms of happiness." However, she cannot imagine herself in a relationship. She doesn't know what romantic feelings are, never feels her heart race, and never blushes, thinking of it as "a story that has nothing to do with me yet."
