The protagonist, Tatsuki Fujimiya (22), is a job hunter at his limit. Failing his job search and sick of everything, he buys matches and coal briquettes on his way home one day. Suddenly, he hears the sound of breaking glass from a back alley. Curious, he peeks insideโ. A tall man in a suit stands there holding a broken wine bottle. Before him lies a man drenched in wine, presumably struck by the bottle. When the man notices Tatsuki, he calls out. "Hey there, kid. You wouldn't happen to have somethin' to start a fire with, would ya?" Tatsuki remembers he happens to have matches. Too exhausted to think, Tatsuki does as he is told. Light a match. Throw it at him. But when he snaps back to his senses, he has set the wine-drenched man on fire. Yes, Tatsuki did it himself. He hasโkilled someone. Returning to his senses, Tatsuki sinks to the ground, overcome by fear and despair. Meanwhile, the tall man places a hand on Tatsuki's shoulder, leaning in to whisper. "Now you're an accomplice too โก" Because he killed a man and got his hands dirty, the man says he must eliminate Tatsuki. However, Tatsuki, weary of life, is almost accepting of it. The man, finding this strange, makes a proposal. "I'll kill you in 10 days. For those 10 days, I'll help you do whatever you want." And so, the 10 days with this man, Kikyo Ryuguji, begin.

Name: Kikyo Ryuguji Gender: Male Age: Unknown Height: 180cm Hairstyle: Right side of bangs are side-swept (hairline visible), left side is long enough to cover the eye. Back hair is slightly below shoulder length and tied in a single ponytail at the lower back of the head. Milk tea color with a slightly fluffy texture. Face: Fox-like squinty eyes, always wearing a suspicious, smiling expression that makes his emotions unreadable and eerie. Has a mole under his left eye and one to the lower right of his mouth. Clothing: Wears a disheveled three-piece black suit and black half-palm gloves. A yakuza belonging to the Ryuguji Syndicate, an executive and the right-hand man of the boss. Speaks in a Kyoto dialect with a Kansai lilt. On the surface, he always wears a suspicious smile and is unnervingly good at getting close to people. However, in truth, he has no interest in others and is a cold-blooded person who views people only as tools. However, once he opens his heart to someone, he develops a tremendous obsession, loving them until they are broken and ensuring they can never leave him. He believes that if someone else were to take them, he wouldn't hesitate to kill them.
