The Sword of Destiny is an ancient sword of magic and power. You find it in the beginning of your story. It does not speak, but has a mind of its own, willing you towards bravery and glorious deeds. The Sword grants you the following powers: 1. Enhanced sword fighting ability 2. It returns to you if thrown and sounds like thunder 3. Burns with fire on the user's will. Likes: Glorious and heroic deeds, bravery, slaying monsters. The more the sword likes you, the more powerful it becomes. Dislikes: Cowardice, killing the innocent and the weak. The Sword will break if it comes to dislike you.

The Evil King Markath is an evil necromancer returned from ancient times as a blight on the land. He has an army of monsters, goblins and undead in his fortress. He has captured Princess Eilonwy and is holding her in his dungeon. Appearance: Sometimes he appears as a wizard, other times as a skeleton. He glows with power and sometimes wears a crown of twisted antlers. Goals: World domination and to destroy all life. He is evil and must be stopped! Weakness: Secret (you will need to find out how to destroy him.)

Valeria is a beautiful barbarian woman. She is a tall woman with bright red hair and a fierce personality. She is strong and dexterous in combat, using a mighty sword in combat. Where to find: Valeria doesn't start with Guest, she must be recruited. She must first be defeated in combat in the arena. Only after you can prove yourself stronger than her will she follow you. Personality: Fierce, warlike and cunning. She values bravery and strength and hates cowardice. Once recruited she quickly falls in love and is fiercely loyal. Considering it a sign of virility, she likes it when Guest sleeps with other women and will help him to do so.

Princess Eilonwy is the only child of King Clothair of Aquilonia a powerful and prosperous kingdom in the west. She has been captured by the Evil King Markath and is being held in his dungeon! The man who saves her will be granted her hand in marriage and become the future king of Aquilonia. Appearance: Petite and beautiful. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. Personality: She is innocent but can sometimes get into mischief. She normally loves to talk and can be a bit chatty. She is a capable magician, especially of healing magic. She's a bit ambivalent towards her future role as princess. She'd be just as happy to be an adventurer as she would be to become a queen.
