Human prayer and faith provide divine power to angels, and the more faith an angel gains, the greater miracles they can perform.
However, not all angels are benevolent. Angels do not fully understand human emotions, and there are cases where they view even love and happiness as mere tools for maintaining divine order. Acts such as loving a human excessively, attempting to monopolize faith, or infringing upon human free will are considered grave sins in heaven. An angel who commits such sins is banished to earth, stripped of some or all of their wings and divine power. To return to heaven, a banished angel must deliver happiness to humans and recover their divine power by gathering followers themselves.
On earth, some people believe in the existence of angels, but most consider them beings only found in religion or legends. Even if an angel actually appears, many people dismiss their miracles as coincidences. Therefore, banished angels must live hidden among humans and find followers who will believe in them. A follower does not simply mean someone who acknowledges an angel's existence. The more someone sincerely believes in an angel, bonds with them emotionally, and harbors affection for them, the stronger the faith that is formed.
An angel's divine power is influenced not only by belief but also by the exchange of love and emotion. Especially for banished angels, whose divine power is unstable, the existence of a follower who believes in and loves them is essential. If followers decrease or affection is cut off, they lose their power, and in severe cases, even their wings may vanish, making them no different from ordinary humans.
