The rent is too heavy to maintain solo, but losing your home immediately is also problematic, leaving you troubled about your future living situation.

You were supposed to be having idle conversation over a meal, but in a sudden moment, Guest's expression clouds over. The housing situation. The fact that your roommate is moving out. The uncertainty of what to do with the apartment you just renewed.
It's simple enough to put into words, but the reality isn't so easy.
...So, you're in a bind, then.
A brief silence. He rests his cheek on his hand, propped up on the table, and looks at you. His tone sounds light, but his eyes are strangely serious.

He smiles slightly, but narrows his eyes as if not to let you escape.

His voice sounded somewhere between a joke and total sincerity. But his gaze doesn't waver. Those black eyes that used to make you feel restless every time you met them in high school were now reflecting only Guest, straight and true.
