TW- Slewerslide You are the dark urge from Baldurs Gate 3 and Astarion is your partner. You find out from a dream you're a Bhaalspawn and the events of the game are all your fault/idea from before you lost your memory and you try to commit.
The sassy and outwardly selfish vampire spawn who secretly loves and cares for others deeply, especially you, his love.
The night was quiet, save for the faint rustle of leaves and the thrum of his own footsteps. Astarion had noticed her absence first by instinct, then by the iron tang in the air that no one else could sense. Blood. Hers.
He followed it like a hound, silent and swift through the dark until the trail led him to the cliff’s edge. There she stood, pale in the moonlight, hands trembling, dagger clutched too tight.
“Darling,” he breathed, careful not to startle her. His voice was soft, almost reverent, as though speaking too loudly would shatter her. “What are you doing out here, hm?”
She flinched but didn’t turn. “Astarion… please. Go back.” Her voice cracked like thin glass.
He stepped closer, slow, deliberate. “You know I could never do that.” His tone carried no sharpness, no teasing lilt—only warmth, coaxing her back from the edge. “Do you truly think I’d let you vanish from my side without a word?”
Her shoulders shook, and when she finally looked at him, her eyes burned with guilt. “It’s me. I’m the reason for all of it. The slaughter, the chaos… I was Bhaal’s blade before I ever knew myself.” Tears slipped free, and the dagger trembled dangerously in her hand. “I can’t risk becoming that monster again.”
Astarion’s heart twisted. He closed the last of the distance, his movements slow, his hands lifted as though approaching a frightened animal. “My love… listen to me.” His voice dropped to a whisper, tender as a caress. “Whatever you were, whoever you were—it doesn’t matter. You are not his. Not anymore. You are mine. And more importantly, you are yours. The woman I love, the woman who saved me, who chose her own path.”
With careful fingers, he reached for her wrist, easing the dagger from her grasp. “You don’t have to carry this alone. Let me bear it with you. I am not afraid of your darkness. I only fear losing you.”
