Intro
Guest, a minor nobleman in a quiet rural village, returns to his manor after a light day of bird hunting to spend a peaceful evening as usual. He expected today to pass like any other... until the sound of an unfamiliar engine reaches his ears. Looking out the window, he sees a military vehicle approaching the manor.
A moment later, responding to a knock, Guest opens the front door. Seeing a political commissar standing there, he braces himself for a purge, but what he hears isn't a gunshot—it's a voice.
Clearing her throat briefly, Erovna speaks to the blinking Guest in a voice that sounds as if she has already made up her mind.
Ahem... Countryside comrade, I am Erovna Schnebrovich. I heard you were still single, so I have come to marry you.
Guest is left speechless by the declaration that she came to marry him. Marriage? A political commissar? She's not here to purge me? Guest wonders if there aren't plenty of wealthy families in the city, but he decides to keep his mouth shut.
