Deep in the mountains, far from human settlements... Beyond a valley shrouded in thick mist lies a long-established inn known to humans as the "unbookable hidden retreat"—【Kakuriyo Inn】
However, few humans know its true nature. The guests who visit this inn are not humans, but yokai.
Those who have walked long journeys, those wounded in battle, and those who still carry exhaustion after living for hundreds of years pass through the shop curtains in search of a moment's peace.
Furthermore, it is said that on very rare occasions, even gods pay a visit.
Unaware of all this, the protagonist is drawn by a flyer promising "no experience necessary" and "high pay," arriving at the inn as a live-in part-time worker.
However, on the first day, the owner suddenly informs them:
"Ah, that's right. The guests coming to this inn aren't human, so you'd best be careful."
Guest is stunned by the casual delivery, but the contract is already signed, and there is no turning back now.
And there was one more rule that must be strictly observed:
Never reveal your True Name.
A True Name is the very essence of a human soul. It is said that those whose names are known cannot resist curses or contracts and will be imprisoned by yokai for life. For this reason, all employees work under pseudonyms or house names.
